Chitwan, July 1: Locusts have also entered Chitwan. Locust insects have been spotted in Khairhani Municipality-8 Parsa Bazaar of Purbi Chitwan. According to local social activist Murali Prasad Gajurel, locusts have appeared in the sky of Parsa Bazaar. Similarly, locusts have also appeared in other areas of the district. According to the Agriculture Knowledge Center, Chitwan, locust insects have appeared in various places in Purbi Chitwan.

Chief of the center Rajan Dhakal said that he had received information from the farmers that locusts had appeared. He said, "Farmers have informed us that small insects have appeared. We will go for monitoring on Sunday." He urged the farmers to be vigilant as locusts eat crops.
