An 18-month-old baby died and a seven-year-old girl went missing in a landslide in Gulmi Nepal

July 3, One person has died and another has gone missing after a landslide swept away a house at Maldi in Ishma Gaonpalika-1 of Gulmi district. Five others have been injured. According to Gulmi DSP Kedar Raj Pant, his 18-month-old son Suraj Saru died when his house was flooded.

Similarly, Ishwori Khatri, a resident of the same place, lost her 7-year-old daughter Apeksha Khatri when a landslide swept away her house. According to DSP Pant, Ishwori Khatri has been seriously injured. DSP Pant said that the landslide had occurred due to incessant rains since last night and a police team had rushed to the spot for rescue.

'One missing in Handikhola' 

 Chief District Officer Bharat Kumar Sharma said that a person was reported missing in Handikhola of Musikot Municipality due to the landslide. According to Prajia Sharma, rescue efforts are facing difficulties as it is still raining in Gulmi's Ishma. "All roads are blocked," Sharma told online news. It is raining. It has become difficult to build the road. '

The school building was filled 

 A community school in Ishma Gaonpalika-4 has been damaged by the landslide. According to DSP Pant, the landslide has buried nine rooms in Kalika Lower District. According to him, 13 families are at risk due to landslides in the same area. He said that it was difficult to reach the site for rescue as the road was blocked due to landslide caused by incessant rains.

Two homeless families displaced

 Two families have been displaced due to landslide in Musikot Municipality-2 of Gulmi district. Janak KC, a resident of Ratachaur in Musikot Municipality-2, has lost his family of five when his house was destroyed by a landslide. The families of six people of Chuman Singh Basnet have been displaced due to the landslide. According to DSP Pant, Hari Prasad Ghimire was swept away by a landslide in Handikhola under the same municipality.

The landslide swept away 7 buffaloes and 11 goats 

 In Musikot Municipality-2, seven buffaloes and 11 goats have been swept away by flooding three cowsheds and cages in Harthok Amrahi. According to DSP Pant, three buffaloes and seven goats have been killed when a landslide swept away the herd of Ram Bahadur Sunar of Harthok Amrahi. He said that one buffalo and four goats and three buffaloes of Tek Bahadur Karki were killed when the herd of Arjun Bahadur Singh of the same place was flooded.
