37 houses flooded in Kailali

July 3 Kailali, As many as 37 houses in the southern part of Kailali district have been submerged due to rising water level in the river along with the rains. According to the District Police Office, Kailali, 20 houses in Joshipur Municipality and 16 houses in Bardagoria Municipality have been submerged in Ghodaghodi Municipality. According to the police, some of the houses have been damaged.

Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Kailali, Deputy Superintendent of Police Prateek Bista said that the house of Hiralal Chaudhary of Joshipur Village Municipality-3 collapsed due to flood. "His family has been rescued and relocated," he said. According to DSP Bista, 16 houses were inundated and some four-wheelers were swept away after the Baskoti River flooded in Bardagoria village. The river has even washed away a local fish pond.
