Longevity and healthy: Sattvic food for life

According to Ayurveda, food is classified into three parts - Satvik, Rajashi and Tamasik. Sattvic food is considered the best. Sattvic food is a yogic diet structure, which includes all nutritious food. It is nutritious and digestible. It is fresh, tasty, digestible and balanced.

This type of food keeps the body healthy and the mind happy. Sattvic diet is dominated by Sattva virtues. In Yoga and Ayurveda, it is said that a sattvic diet makes a person's life sattvic. The category of compound and sattvic diet includes food which is pure, energizing, healthy and full of happiness. Sattvic food is based on the ancient rules of Ayurveda, which can be prepared by simple or traditional methods.

In the Gita, Lord Krishna has clearly explained the Satvik, Rajasi and Tamasi diets. There is also a clear discussion of how these diets affect the body and mind. Those who want spiritual progress or walk the path of sadhana are instructed to adopt a sattvic diet.

Sattvic diet is a high fiber, low fat diet, vegetarian diet, which is associated with the diet and lifestyle of the yogi. The word sattvic means 'pure essence'. In Ayurveda, sattvic food is considered pure and balanced. Consumption of this type of food leads to longevity, fitness, healthy life. There is happiness in the mind and peace of mind.

Sattvic diet is full of micronutrients. The following foods can be included in the table of sattvic diet.

 - Honey or herbal tea

 - Seasonal vegetables 

- Sprouted nuts

 - Fresh fruit juice 

 - Fresh and seasonal fruits etc. 

 In Ayurveda, stimulant foods like star, fried, meaty, fatty, spicy, stale, caffeine are forbidden in the sattvic diet. Even if we cannot take a completely sattvic diet, we can find such a balance in our diet from morning to evening, which keeps us healthy.

Morning herbal tea 

When we wake up in the morning, most of us drink milk tea or coffee. However, such drinks do not improve health. So it is beneficial to drink basil leaves, Moringa tea etc. in the morning. It is also good to mix honey in lemon water. So let's drink this beverage as an alternative to milk tea or coffee.

Barley dish for breakfast 

Barley food can be eaten for breakfast. It is a beta glucan soluble fiber, which is beneficial for the stomach. Barley controls glucose levels in the body and prevents weight gain.

Fresh vegetables for lunch 

According to the sattvic diet, it is said that one should eat protein rich food in one's daily diet. It can be eaten fresh vegetables, tofu, lentils, cheese, salad. While these foods are light, they also give the body plenty of energy.

Fruit or juice 

Seasonal fruits can be eaten for breakfast. Fruits including amla are more suitable. Fresh fruit juice can also be consumed.

Dinner is light and light According to Ayurveda, dinner should be done before sunset. Also, dinner should be small and light. Sleep only two or three hours after eating.
