Father arrested for burying son alive

Locals have alleged that their own father buried his 8-year-old son alive in Tilottama of Rupandehi. A local has alleged that Raju Pariyar had dug a hole in the bush near his house and buried his sick son in a sack in Tilotta-4, Pragtinagar.

Chief of the Area Police Office, Butwal, DSP Pratit Singh Rathore said that the child died after being pulled out of the pit. Police have taken Pariyar under control for security after the locals surrounded him saying that he was buried in the ground in a bag after his son fell ill and fainted.

"It is known only after the post-mortem report whether he was buried alive or dead," said DSP Rathore. "Police have started further investigation after taking the accused under control." The accused Pariyar has given a statement to the police that he was buried in the ground after the death of his son.
